Ouch...This one hurt

"Take no thought for your life." Matthew 6:25

"Take no thought for your life." "Be careful about one thing only," says our Lord - "your relationship to Me." Common sense shouts loud and says - "That is absurd, I must consider how I am going to live, I must consider what I am going to eat and drink." Jesus says you must not. Beware of allowing the thought that this statement is made by One Who does not understand our particular circumstances. Jesus Christ knows our circumstances better than we do, and He says we must not think about these things so as to make them the one concern of our life. Whenever there is competition, be sure that you put your relationship to God first.
"Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." How much evil has begun to threaten you to-day? What kind of mean little imps have been looking in and saying - Now what are you going to do next month - this summer? "Be anxious for nothing," Jesus says. Look again and think. Keep your mind on the "much more" of your heavenly Father. -Oswald Chambers

Provision

"The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands" (Deut 28:12).

I had an interesting conversation the other day with a five year
old. He made a comment to which I replied, "If we don't praise
Him the rocks will". I have to say that if I don't praise Him the
rocks are about to cry out.

When I made the decision to go back to school the thought
of income never entered my mind. Until I began to figure
up my hours and then a bit of panic set in. And I have to tell
you my God is True to His Word! When I paid my tuition I
had to close out my savings account. After the tuition check
cleared the bank I should have been left with only 50 dollars
in the bank. Instead...it was almost 300 dollars. My last check
was the first payroll check I received since my hours
at work were cut. I was exspecting a small check. Instead...
it was a full check. I even went behind our office manger to
double check it and it was all correct. So I ended up with a
full check plus a 100 dollars extra in the bank this month!!!!!
I'm going to tell you what else this wonderful gift from my
Gracious Father did... It swept away some fears I was
hanging onto. It reminds me of Psalm 23:5
"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies."
The last half of this verse has caught my eye and attention before.
Today the words "before me" stand out.
God has it all before me...He has the plan and the things I
need ready for me. I've had such fears as...
Will I find a job? Will I be able to handle the responsibility? Ect..

"God made a covenant with His people that provision
would always be there if we were faithful to His commands."

Meaning...

A few months back I posted this picture. No words. No post
title. It was just the picture. I had several comment on telling
more about the photo. At the time I had nothing to tell. I ran
across it and something drew me to it. Tonight I found myself
remembering it and the hold it had on me.
I've had a "zone out" day today. One of those days where
something is going on and you just can't put your finger on
it. On the way home I ran the last few days through my
mind trying to place where "this" was coming from. I knew
what I was doing at the time but traced it back a little more.
Then...Wham! There it was.
I know that in areas my Spiritual walk has gone a bit deep.
Others not so yet. I know you guys are so much deeper in
your Walk with Him. I know I'm learning and growing just
as you. I'm glad you are here to spur me on. Anyway...
The first time it appeared was when a friend was talking
about a date with her husband. Then when I was talking
to two different friends that I hadn't talked to in a long
while. Then in the wonderings of another friend drifting.
Then while longing to talk to some face to face vs.
technology.

Intimacy.

Every relationship carries it's own level of uniqueness.
The "world" right now is pulling me to feel the need
for earthly initmacy when I know it's satan's way of
hiding the fact that it's intimacy with Him I need most.
When I feel the earthly desires for intimacy...I crave it.
I'm craving Him tonight...and satan is doing all he can
do to fill my mind with junk. This picture is what my
hearts longing is right now....to be in that still quiet
place with Him.
Normally on Wed. I've been doing a scripture verse
but this time I'm going to leave a chapter that God
showed me tonight. The neat thing is that verse 3
was the verse I put in my graduation inivitations.
I love that it says "when" and not if.

1 I cry aloud to the LORD;
I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy.
2 I pour out my complaint before him;
before him I tell my trouble.
3 When my spirit grows faint within me,
it is you who know my way.
In the path where I walk
men have hidden a snare for me.
4 Look to my right and see;
no one is concerned for me.
I have no refuge; no one cares for my life.
5 I cry to you, O LORD; I say, "You are my refuge,
my portion in the land of the living."
6 Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need;
rescue me from those who pursue me,
for they are too strong for me.
7 Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name.
Then the righteous will gather about me
because of your goodness to me.

I just finished IM'ing with a friend. I have such a sweet
grin plastered on my face. The grin is because I'm excited
to talk with this friend and it's because God is sending me
a reminder.
Ever since...well... before Thanksgiving I've been trying to
find one of my dearest friends from high school. I was
even beginning to regret not going to the high school
reunion in fear she might have been there. Anyway, I
had searched Classmates.com and Facebook. Anything
I could think of hoping to find her. Nothing. So on
Christmas Eve I pronounced out loud "I give up". To
which I think God grinned down at me, chuckled and
said "It's about time". So what do you think happened
the day after Christmas??! Yep, guess who's name showed
up on a common friends facebook wall....the name of my
long lost friend.
What an awsome reminder today in talking with my
friend....that when we do things on our own...nothing.
When we give up it frees Him to do His thing....
Maybe even giving us..."the desires of our heart".

I just wanted to let you guys know I had a wonderful
week last week. I never dreamed I would step out and
take this leap of faith in going back to school. I have a
Photography class and a Psychology class. So it's
right up my ally right now.

Love you guys. I hope and pray you have a fun,
safe and wonderful week!!

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Doing a little Weeding

Well, tomorrow is the first day of school....
I'll enjoy it because it's my Photography class.
I wonder if the teacher will remember me?
Anyway, it's kind of fitting to start school off
this week because this weekend marked the
18th anniversary of the date of my accident.
A fitting timing our God had indeed.
This was a very tough decision in going back
to school. I didn't make up my mind in
obedience until the morning tuition was due.
A couple weeks ago I was talking to a good
friend about it all. She made a comment that
God had emptied me. She was right. Here is
what God showed me...
As you may remember I just finished the Bible
study of Daniel. The first week of study I
discovered there was a seed- a trait I did not
realize was there and I did not want it planted.
As I began looking at my heart the next few
weeks I discovered the soil had been prepared
and Satan was easily getting ready to plant that
seed. What seed was it? Pride! A confidence
in the flesh. The very first week of Daniel I
discovered I was getting very confident in "my"
ability in my work. I was giving myself credit
instead of Him. I know that I allowed God to
empty me because my confidence right now is
at a low. However, I know that it's a good thing
right now because I'm going into the first day of
school with my confidence in Him only!!

This is my first Picture Memory Verse.
I'll explain a little next week as to why I chose
Psalm 91. Walking faithfully together...
Love you Girls!!

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and
my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Psalm 91: 1 & 2

Fight or Flight

On Christmas Eve I watched Narnia for the first time. WoW!
This movie was a huge eye opener for me. I've seen and felt
Spiritual warfare. What I experienced was real. I am a visual
learner and this movie reminded me and woke me up to some
things I had forgotten. Like we are not fighting flesh and blood...
and we can't fight this fight with our own flesh.
I left a comment on Leslie's blog the other day about this.
I've decided to memorize scripture this year. Not to see how
many I can but have them because they are the weapons we
need to fight the fight. I am tired of fighting the fight but the
fight will always be so I need to learn how to fight with the
right weapon. So, if you see some Narnia related photos on
the sidebar it's a reminder to myself.

I've decided to make some consistency here on my blog.
I've heard a few other ideas here and there so I'm going to
combine a few. One blog is doing project 365 (found this
one over at Linda's) it's the idea of making a journal of life
by using a picture a day and posting about life. Like the
idea but you Girls know me, I'm not an every day Girl.
Since I'm wanting to memorize scriptures I'm going to
combine the two. So every Wed. night I'm going to post
a picture with a scripture.
Then my regular post I'll write on the weekends to have
up on Monday. I've already been thinking about how I
can balance going back to school and still having time to
be here in Blogland.
Love you guys! Have a good weekend!
